Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is famous for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the 1980s the actress began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next film was the movie Dil in which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. In her early years her Mumbai-born dancer started learning at an early stage. When she was young when she began to act, she had a difficult time as a majority of her movies were unsuccessful. In the end, she was one of the top actresses from Indian films. The actress took a hiatus from her profession after her wedding before returning to the entertainment industry. Recently, she played a major part on the film Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women across India. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri is the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
