MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN as his debut full-length album. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year he joined Ozuna to record the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia is made available in 2020 by Noriel and her Dopamina album the following year. In 2021, he appeared on a duet TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music was a necessity. In his childhood he was instructed to play the piano, guitar and ukulele. He initially wanted to be an vet but when his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend singing lessons from an Cuban singer, he changed career plans.
