Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well being a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. After relocating to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations and is a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
